This time of year is really a faith walk, isn’t it? We know spring is here as we look at the calendar… even if we can’t believe it at times when we look out the window! But with the days flying by, I wanted to let you know about some upcoming events:
Spring Fling
We are so excited about our Mother-Daughter Spring Fling, Thursday, May 7 in the Grand Commons from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The cost is $15 for dinner, a style show, music by mothers and their daughters and an inspirational message by Dawn Siemon and her daughter Malia. (Tickets are on sale now in the Ticket Booth after each service.)
We know women 11 to 99 years of age will be blessed by the time we spend together as we look at mother-daughter communications and simply enjoy the time of fellowship. All women are welcome since we all have moms, even if they may not be with us. For more information, e-mail Janet at janetplatner@comcast.net or call the Women’s Ministry hotline at 952-224-3132.
Summer Bible Studies
We are now taking registrations for our two Summer Studies that will begin on Wednesday, June 3, and conclude on Wednesday, July 22.
- In the morning we will be offering “Discerning the Voice of God” from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This Bible study from author and speaker Priscilla Shirer is designed to help participants know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, you will be able to discern God's voice from the voice of strangers. This involves both a video and small group discussion based on workbook questions completed prior to the class. To register, click here.
- The evening study will be “Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed”, a study of David offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Taken from the Deeper Still event, Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur share the teaching as they explore God’s work in their own lives, as well as the life of David. This too is a video presentation with study book and discussion time. To register, click here.
So even if it doesn’t feel like spring will ever get here, it will, and I hope you’ll be ready to enjoy these offerings in the warmth and sunshine. Praising Him with you in every season,
Sue
