- VBS in the Park: At Little Earth Indian Reservation
The Little Earth Native American housing project in south Minneapolis is home to over 300 fatherless children living within three city blocks! Without the intervention of the life-saving, cycle-breaking, hope-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ, these precious, vulnerable children are inundated with poverty, violence, addiction, and despair. Your family or students can join the Grace Church team to hold a VBS in the Park for these eager, responsive, hungry children!
When: Monday – Friday, August 11 – August 15
Times: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (prep time + 3-hour VBS)
- VBS in the Park: Church of New Life in Richfield
Our Sister Church, Church of New Life, led by Pastor Sam Nero, has invited us to partner with them in a VBS outreach in the park targeting the children of their diverse community. Eighty-five percent of children in the Richfield school system participate in a subsidized food program, and single-parent families are the norm rather than the exception. Richfield is the second highest at-risk community in the metro area based on social youth indicators such as teen pregnancy. Join the Grace team in ministering Christ’s redemptive love in the lives of these children.
When: Monday – Friday, August 18-August 22
Times: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (prep time/ 3-hour VBS)
- VBS in the Park: Believer’s in Christ Church in North Minneapolis
“Three Deep Leadership Academy” combines education, fitness, and discipleship to restore and build leaders in the heart of Minneapolis. In a zip code that boasts the largest population of children with parents in prison (over 300), the need for the Church to be the hands and feet of Jesus is great. Serve on the Three Deep team this summer through Fantastic Fridays! Fantastic Fridays is a time to disciple kids and help them become “Cycle Breakers.” Lessons, activities, and focus on the life of Josiah.
When: Fridays, July 11, 18, 25, and August 1
Times: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Great Catch Family Carnival: Sunday, August 24
Church of New Life – Richfield Park (formerly Grace Church Richfield)

Join Grace Church and inner-city partners for our VBS “Fishing for Life” Fish-a-thon and try to “Catch the Big One!” A stocked trout pond, rods and reels, fishing games, a world-class unicyclist, and other carnival games will provide a festive atmosphere to celebrate our unity in Christ with our inner-city partners!
