More Joy In Heaven
Both Callao and Grace Church people were overwhelmed with JOY as we started into our week of ministry together. Revised results came in late Tuesday night, so here is where we are to date. . .

The Lord has mightily worked in our midst, and we are most gratified to be His servants in Lima, Peru, standing Shoulder to Shoulder with our Sister Church.
A family affair…
When arriving at Mi Peru, a very poor area with shanty type houses built into the sides of sand mountains, we were met by a sea of children. They surrounded us immediately and were captured by our simple presence. You could sense a thirst for Christ.
A few of us walked with the children back to their home. One child brought their parents to the door, Ingrid and Edgar. After talking with them, both Ingrid and Edgar accepted Christ and wanted to start finding a church. How amazing to see Christ work in the lives of an entire family!

Seeds that are growing...
Tonight while at the coliseum, Guiremo and his wife Ericka came up to the front. Guiremo had a Christian friend who brought him to church four years ago. He enjoyed going but could not figure out why someone would be a Christian. He continued to go to church with his friend but did not accept Christ. When he got married he stopped completely going to church.
They came forward during the call during the children’s festival with their daughter. They decided that the time was right and accepted Christ.
Holy Spirit at work...
At the coliseum, several of our team were approached by a couple who asked that we pray for their daughter Bernice.
Bernice grew up with missionary parents and at a very young age was out in the streets doing evangelical work. She went to college and got a degree in architecture for Peruvian rock products.
Bernice has thyroid cancer which has meta-sized to level four and recently had it removed and is not suppose to be on her feet. Bernice is Carroll Price’s interrupter and is spending most of the days on her feet. She will be having chemotherapy soon. Her employer has agreed to pay 70% of her chemotherapy treatment.
Upon hearing the story, the leadership team from Grace was touched. 4 weeks ago, on a conference call with the Callao church Joaquin mentioned how the church was feeling under spiritual attack. He had lost 2 of his best translators, one went to be with the Lord and one had been stricken with cancer, Bernice. It is so good to be in country with our dear brothers and sisters meeting and serving these beautiful spirits whom we have heard and prayed so much about.
Sisterly love...
While sitting in the buses eating lunch at Pachacutec, a little girl and her mom were walking by the bus of students and the girl was crying.
One of the students decided to give her second sandwich out the window to the little girl. The little girl immediately stopped crying and had a smile.
What heaven looks like…
Today the student team went to Pachacutec. The town is built right on the ocean, but look nothing like the water front properly we covet at home. There were rows and rows of hut homes made of leftover used wood pallets. Not a blade of grass could be seen, only sand for miles and miles.
While I was talking with some kids, a young boy asked me if Minnesota was beautiful. I thought for a second on how to respond and told him, “Yes I like Minnesota, but it’s not as beautiful as heaven.” This was a wide open door to tell the kids how they could live forever in a beautiful city. Praise God that two of them will now one day be in heaven.
