Hold that plane!!!

We have heard a lot of reasons for being late for a plane, but this one takes the cake! While in the Atlanta airport, Pastor Dave, Pastor Brian, and Dale Nelson struck up a conversation with Matt while eating in the food court. Matt is an evolutionist with no belief in God. He believes that life is love and energy and is convinced that we should spread this energy around. He was on his way to Jackson Hole, WY for his job with the DNR. The threesome walked Matt through the Steps of Peace tract and became so engrossed in the conversation that they completely lost track of time. They ended up running through the airport and arrived with only 3 minutes to spare.

Pray for Matt, seeds were planted today! We gave Matt a New Testament and are praying that the seeds will take root in his heart.

Thanks of a grateful nation…

American troops are a common sight in the Atlanta airport as it is a staging airport for national and international deployment. Dale Nelson took the opportunity to thank the troops for their service and in doing so met Bert who was headed to Iraq for another six month tour. Bert is a Christian and was encouraged by Dale with prayer and a New Testament. While praying with Bert it was evident to Dale that there were some non-Christians watching that were clearly not comfortable with the discussion that they were having. It was a very somber environment. You could sense deep introspection from the soldiers. There was little camaraderie amongst them. They were clearly very focused on what was coming for them in their deployment. It was rewarding to be able to provide a word of thanks and encouragement to them, and to see the light of Christ on the faces of the Christian soldiers.

Grace and Callao people have been in prayer for weeks in preparation for the week long Festival. We have seen the very early results of this prayer already, as people have been hearing the Gospel and accepting Christ as our people have been witnessing on the planes.

Prayer Requests:

- We must get the pacemakers out of customs for the Medical Team today by 12 noon! If we do not, we are going to lose a day or more of precious surgery time.
- For missing luggage to be accounted for and delivered to the hotel for 38 of our people.
- For Karin’s lost passport to be found and returned.

Praise Items:

- The Flom Family shipment cleared customs on 7/25! This was a very big deal for our Festival, as they had acquired some new items for the big stage at the Coliseum.
- 80 people received eyeglasses through Medical Team ministry today.
- The Lord opened up several closed venues for us after Callao Church Fasted and Prayed for 3 days. We can now work in. . .
* Ovalo Park all week
* Visit a large prison
