Children's Choirs
Our children's choirs are designed for children to express their faith through a musical experience!
Choirs perform occasionally in:
- Sunday morning Worship Services
- Christmas productions
- The Spring Children's Musical
Attend a choir rehearsal to register.
Choirs are open to grades 1-6, and they meet at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings on the terrace level of the children’s building.
“Everyday Heroes” is the children’s choir musical for spring 2010!

“Everyday Heroes” is set in a “Guitar Hero” game-like setting, but it is full of Biblical meaning. The choir will pretend they are an “avatar” in the video game as they learn about three Biblical everyday heroes: Gideon, Esther and Nehemiah.
Listening CD’s of “Everyday Heroes” are available at choir for $10.
Choir events for spring:
March 14 Grade 4-6 choir sings “We Worship You”
April 18 Grade 1-3 Choir will sing a song from “Everyday Heroes”
May 9 Grade 4-6 choir will sing to promote the musical

Questions About Children's Choirs
Are there choirs for children younger than first grade?
Choir staff and KIDS' staff partner together to provide the project-oriented choir programming "Preschool Praise Project" for children in Kindergarten and Pre-K. Watch for information about developments for the fall.
Why are choirs on Sunday mornings?
We want to raise the priority and intentionality of prayer and worship, train the worshipers of tomorrow, and develop fully-devoted followers of Jesus who engage naturally in corporate worship and prayer. It is also a response to the many requests from parents over several years to see choirs incorporated into Sunday morning.
Does choir "compete with" or "replace" Sunday school?
Absolutely not! The majority of our children attend second hour Sunday school. We hope that by offering choir first hour many of those children will choose to participate in choirs first hour and Sunday school second hour. This will provide the student with intentional worship and prayer as well as a solid biblical education.
What if my child is not interested in joining choir? Is there a Sunday school option available first hour?
First - it is hoped that they would at least give choir a try - with the additional experience of corporate worship, lessons in prayer, and drama opportunities, choir can become an integral part of your child's Christian education! Choir is also an exciting opportunity for children to experience serving in a ministry.
For those who prefer Sunday school, there will be traditional Sunday school classes for 1st through 6th grade. The worship service is where 5th and 6th graders can experience corporate worship and Bible teaching with their families.
